Is the LEAN30 program a 100% whole foods program, or do people need to buy supplements?
This challenge focuses on getting people to eat nutrient dense whole foods. They'll eat things like vegetarian proteins or lean animal proteins (poultry and fish), whole grains (rolled oats, quinoa and brown rice), lots of fresh veggies and fruits, and healthy fats (olive oil, nuts, avocado and eggs). We approach nutrition not as just simple calories compartmentalized into individual nutrients, but as "whole foods" that work best for your circumstances, lifestyle habits, health status and other needs; while we approach fitness as an activity that you will do to stay active for a lifetime. There's no supplement requirement, although there are optional supplements suggested (Shaklee & non-Shaklee brand options) in addition to the protocol to ehance positive results.
2. There are a lot of online healthy eating & weight loss challenges on the market, what sets this program apart?
You receive direct support from me while you are doing the program. There will be weekly webinars with Q&A, recorded and available for playback, and because this is a group program, you will have the support of others doing the program at the same time. You won't have to go it alone. Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your family, discover the tools you need, and implement positive lifestyle, exercise, attitude, and nutrition habits you can sustain for a lifetime.
3. This feels like a big investment, is it worth it?
I'm going to level with you here - this program does NOT cost much, especially when you consider everything you're getting and consider the cost of personal training and private health coaching sessions offered by other practitioners, whether remote or in-person. Our programs offer the guidance of working with a certified health coach, yoga teacher/fitness trainer along with the benefits of support and accountability. Because we live in the age of information overload, you need to know which information to use and how to make it work for your life. With this program, you'll get tools and support for success, and if you show up and do the work you'll get results.

These methods are now encompassed in the term health promotion, and a more narrow definition of health education is proposed here to emphasize the distinction.
