TRAINING OPTIONS
Programs include flexible instructional tools for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency via demonstration and prompted practice, including scenario-based problem-solving exercises with feedback.
In-Person, On-Site Skills Practice & Evaluation for Certification
Blended learning provides more flexibility for use of your time and makes the most of a hybrid approach that combines cognitive training online followed by an Instructor-led Practical Skills Class.
- Complete the course content of interactive learning & cognitive training online with real-life scenarios and built-in quizzes at any time that fits your schedule (available 24/7) - saving your work along the way to start and stop when convenient.
- Attend an Instructor-led Practical Skills Class (course review, hands on practice and evaluation) - held Onsite (in-person at an approved location) or via Remote Skills Verification (online at your home or office with the appropriate reserved/rented or owned equipment & supplies on-hand).
Traditional Classroom learning is also available if blended is not a good option. The content is provided in a classroom setting onsite (at an approved location) via Instructor-led lecture and supporting video with real-life scenarios, hands-on practice and evaluation.

Health Safety Institute (HSI) and American Health & Safety Institute (ASHI) training programs are nationally recognized, accepted and approved by, or meet the requirements of nearly 2,400 state regulatory agencies, occupational licensing boards, national associations, commissions and councils in more than 120 occupations and professions.

Adult First Aid | CPR AED is ideal for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire, or are required to be certified in CPR and the use of an AED - for community and/or workplace setting. More Info Here.
Pediatric First Aid | CPR is for those required to learn how to respond to medical emergencies involving children and need to be certified in CPR (infant/child/adult) and the used of an AED. More Info Here.
Training for these programs are available as Blended Learning with In-Person, Instructor-Led Practical Skills Class or Remote Skills Verification and Traditional Classroom Learning. There is a minimum of 4 students per class and a maximum of 12 students. The certification period is 2 years.

HSI First Aid | CPR AED reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and it conforms with the latest AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update.
Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS)
This program gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting - perfect those interested in a babysitting business, or who have responsibility for younger family members. The program teaches key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips in addition to working with parents and children and how to get started with a business. The magazine-format CABS guide and vlogger-style video make learning fun. More Info Here.
Prerequisite: None, however CPR AED and Basic First Aid certification is strongly recommended. In some cases, Pediatric First Aid | CPR AED (infant, child & adult) or CPR AED (infant, child & adult) may be scheduled to follow this class.
Practical Skills Evaluation Required. Students must perform required skills competently without assistance. Successful completion and certification is based on the core learning objectives rather than a prescribed instruction time.
Onsite only: 4 hours
